Children in Contemporary Society Undergraduate Certificate Program
Sponsored by the Center for Child and Family Policy, the Children in Contemporary Society Certificate builds students’ knowledge of child and family issues, while also providing the necessary academic tools for students to engage in research that informs real policy and practice. Drawing on child and family-related courses taught in other departments, including Psychology, Public Policy, Sociology, Economics, and Education, the certificate offers an interdisciplinary look at the issues shaping today’s children and adolescents.

Global Health Certificate
The Duke University Global Health Institute offers the Global Health Certificate in order to spur student involvement with community health care on both the local and international level, with the explicit goal of eliminating disparities in quality of care. Certificate candidates learn the skills necessary to synthesize current knowledge in new ways and to formulate innovative solutions that could improve the health care options for underserved populations.
